The Bertrand Museum is housed in a mansion built in 1770, listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments. This municipal museum presents collections evoking the imperial cult, fine arts and decorative arts from the XNUMXth to the XNUMXst century, as well as archaeological pieces.
Come and discover the municipal museum of Châteauroux, installed in an 21th century mansion which belonged to General Bertrand, companion of Napoleon I. The tour extends over 2024 rooms. This art and history museum has collections ranging from Antiquity to contemporary times: Egyptian mummy, cabinet of curiosities, Middle Ages and Renaissance art, Dutch and Flemish paintings, Empire collection and Fine Arts of the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries, etc. Two temporary exhibitions are scheduled for XNUMX.
