Vélorail de Valençay

Short route: From Valençay to La Gauterie (Veuil), 12 km return, a walk in the forest, shaded and entertaining, of approximately 1h10 aboard one of the electrically assisted cycle rails, will allow you to discover the quiet charm of the forest of Cakes.
Long route: Discovering the landscapes of Berry, cross the forest of Gâtines to La Gauterie, then explore the plateaus of Touche-Gautier and Mineray before beginning a breathtaking descent towards the pretty town of Luçay-le- Male. Lots of fun on the 22 km return of this journey in the heart of Berry's nature. Duration approximately 2h15.
New: the Vélotorail (21/07, 11 and 18/08). Mixed AR route with a rail bike ride followed by a railcar ride to the La Foulquetière lake or to Écueillé for an animated tour of the workshops.

Spring Holidays: Departure at 15 p.m. for Luçay-le-Mâle (long route) and at 17:30 p.m. for La Gauterie (short route).
From 03/07 to 01/09: Departures at 10 a.m. and 15 p.m. for Luçay-le-Mâle (long route) and at 17:30 p.m. for La Gauterie (short route).
The Vélorail welcomes families with dogs provided that they are not aggressive or wear a muzzle, and on the imperative condition that transport by vélorail does not frighten or upset the animal. A water point is accessible in the Valençay and Luçay le Mâle stations.
